About our Client, your new employer:
Our client is located West of Sydney, in the Blue Mountains Local Health District and is a major teaching hospital with a busy ED. They offer a range of services to both in and out patients.
A little about the role:
You will be working with other medical imaging staff including other trained sonographers, radiographers, surgical teams, and a friendly helpful medical imaging admin support team. You will provide support Monday to Fridays. Shift work and on call is available making this a potentially lucrative assignment. You will see a mix of patients – in patients, outpatients and ED patients. You will work across three rooms in addition to providing mobile support to their ICU patients. Experience using Philips Eqip 5 machines will be highly regarded. The mix of work is broad, however experience in breast and neonatal ultrasound will be highly regard, though not essential they also do a lot of vascular scans. A radiologist in on site Monday to Friday. In addition to the above-mentioned support, nurses are on hand to assist with patient mobility and manual handling.
The locum dates: ASAP to mid-September with a potential to extend if desired.

Duties you will be responsible for:
- You will provide expert scanning skills to a wide variety of inpatient requirements.
- Experience across a broad skill set including
- Previous experience using a Phillips Epiq 5G would be advantageous or adapt quickly to using a new machine and software.
Skills and Experience:
- ASAR Accreditation.
- Demonstrated experience in general ultrasound.
- Ability to adapt to existing processes and policies within a hospital setting.
- Genuine, friendly, caring and compassionate nature for your patients and fellow colleagues.
- 2 Current references, National Police Check and Vaccination records required.
