What do you love about Aussie Locums?

I love that Aussie Locums’ head office is located in Cairns, however, we work nationally. We tirelessly work for our clients to meet their demand and get to know our candidates extremely well for them to feel supported by us. We can make our candidates feel the way they feel because every one of us is well supported in our office too.

What is your greatest source of enjoyment in recruitment?

My greatest source of enjoyment is when I receive positive feedback from people I worked with.

Where do you feel you add value to candidates who are looking for work?

As I’m a nurse myself I understand that working on the floor can be challenging at times. I value their tirelessly hard work each shift as we are running around all day under the pressure to meet demands. My value is nurses and carers feel safe and well-resourced prior to work as this is crucial part of nursing to provide a quality of care for each patient either it is casual or permanent position. To obtain my value, I take interview process seriously and spend enough time with each candidate to get to know them and find them a perfect match with our clients. I believe everyone has a potential and I would like to focus on that to enhance possibility to match with perfect jobs for them.

What advice would you give to candidates from overseas who are looking to work in Australia?

Working as nurse in Australia is so much fun because often there are overseas trained nurses as well as locally trained nurses at your workplace and we all work together to achieve the same goal as a part of team. There are so many world known beautiful beaches as well as art and music in Australia. Don’t for get to get a beautiful Australian take away coffee before starting your shift because Australia take our coffee seriously as Aussie locums take our candidates seriously.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given in your career?

Be vulnerable to life’s lessons. I am always open to new things, hence, never stop learning.

If you asked a client to describe you, what would they say?

I hope they see me as someone who puts herself in other peoples shoes. I always aim to go above and beyond to meet their needs.

What is the most unusual assignment you have ever been asked to fill?

Unusual assignments are always welcome.

Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?

One day, one of our candidates told me that she enjoy working with me and that made my day.

Is there a client, candidate or project that stands out?

Right now right here. As I am aware that nurses and carers run around on their feet every day to provide the best care as possible for patients, however, lack of staff in nursing is a chronic issue for lots of workplaces, hence, my mission is resolve those issues as nursing perspective by utilizing my experiences in health care as a nurse.
