We are seeking a radiologist to assist our client on a locum basis throughout all of May 2020 in the striking location of Hamilton, New Zealand. Reporting x-ray, ultrasound, MRI (mostly MSK), cone beam CT – dental and some extremities imaging. Interventional – MSK injections, MRI arthrograms.

The services provided include scans, x-rays, MRI, ultrasound and specialised injections using some of the best imaging equipment in the country.

A little about the role:

Working at this MSK focused site, there are approximately 110 cases per day shared between yourself and another radiologist. You will report on x-ray, ultrasound, MRI (mostly MSK), cone beam CT – dental and some extremities imaging and perform interventional procedures including MSK injections and MRI arthrograms. The reporting systems used are Karisma/Intelerad and you must be able to use Voice Recognition (Speech Magic or Dragon) as there are NO TYPISTS on site. There are 2 sonographers, 1 MRI technician, 1 radiologist and administrative support on site.

Duties you will be responsible for:

• Report on x-ray, ultrasound, MRI (mostly MSK), cone beam CT – dental and some extremities imaging.
• Perform interventional procedures including MSK injections and MRI arthrograms.
• Use Karisma/Intelerad reporting systems.
• Use Voice Recognition (Speech Magic or Dragon).
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience working in a similar position.
• Effective communication with patients and staff.
• NZMRTB Annual Practicing Certificate and current registration.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Appropriate working rights for New Zealand.
• Relevant Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
