Location: Auckland, New Zealand

Mammographer required for full time or part time positon. Locums welcome to apply. Collaborating with a team of 50 staff in a specialist breast clinic in Auckland.

A little about the role:

As a mammographer you will be required to perform scans to the highest possible standards whilst ensuring the highest regard to patient wellbeing and comfort. You will work to our clients strict Mammography protocols and the National Policy and Quality Standards for Breastscreen Aotearoa. You will join a multidisciplinary team and where they provide screening, diagnostic mammography and stereotactic biopsies. The role is for a part time or full time radiographer to work across both of their services.

Position Goals:

• Communicate and comfort the patients
• Maintain standards in line with policy and protocols for their physical machinery
• Participate to the upmost in the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to a positive work culture through communication and team work

Competencies:

• Demonstrate excellent technical ability in the operation and maintenance of mammographic equipment and ensure safe operation practices
• Adhere to clinical practice procedures and protocols
• Possess excellent communication skills and be able to establish rapport with the your patients in order to obtain high quality images, whilst ensuring technical precision and within correct imaging parameters
• Ability to function efficiently and effectively as part of their team
• Knowledge and awareness of patient rights and cultural sensitivity
• Experience working in a similar setting will be highly regarded
• Develop positive thinking and collaborative working styles in order to promote a positive culture within the organisation

To be eligible to apply for this positon:

• You must be registered with the NZMRT Board
• Hold a full current Annual Practicing Certificate
• Hold the NZMRT Certificate of Proficiency in Mammography, or its equivalent within 2 years of commencing the BreastScreen Aotearoa Programme.
