We are seeking a passionate Physiotherapist for a community aged care role in Perth, WA. You will be employed by our client, a leading allied health provider, on a permanent basis. Travel within the community will be required for this role therefore, a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence is required.
  
Aged care experience preferred but not essential, new graduates welcome to apply.

A little about the role:
   
You will travel within the community in this sole role to provide client-centred, high-quality physiotherapy services to the aged community. Your scope of practice will include balance assessment and therapy, exercise prescription and review, mobility assessment and reablement (including the prescription of walking aids), joint replacement rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, falls prevention, assessment and management, and pain management.
  
You will make a real difference to the lives of the ageing population within the community and get to know them and benefit from their stories and life experiences. 
   
Duties you will be responsible for:
  • Travel within the community, occasionally long distances, for home visits.
  • Provide client-centred, high-quality physiotherapy services to the aged care community.
  • Confidently work as the sole Physiotherapist, reporting to the Clinical Lead.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues, patients and their families.
Skills and requirements:
  • Full AHPRA registration.
  • Approved Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • National Police Check.
  • Appropriate working rights for Australia.
  • Access to your own, reliable vehicle.
  • Current, full Driver’s Licence.
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling and manual therapies.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a residential aged care facility (desirable).
